The Maddermarket Theatre - Founded in 1911 by Nugent Monck, the Norwich Players found their permanent home, the Maddermarket Theatre, in a coverted Roman Catholic chapel in 1921. Since then they have continued to produce a wide variety of shows both contemporary and historical from Shakespeare to Pinter, Moliere to Bennett. With the help of loyal volunteers they currently produce 12 shows each year. The theatre also plays host to various visiting shows ranging from rock tribute bands to 'an evening with...' There is also a thriving youth theatre and adult education classes.
